Discover Silhouette InstaLift
Silhouette InstaLift is a state of the art suspension suture that offers both women and men a dual benefit of immediate facial lifting and volumization without the unwanted challenges of traditional surgery.
Silhouette InstaLift™ is a unique dual-action treatment that produces two desirable facial outcomes: an immediate lifting of the tissue in the mid-face area and a gradual regeneration of collagen to add volume, a result that gets better over time.
Immediate Lifting Effect
The lifting effect is immediate and discreet. It is the result of skin elevation at the time of the procedure. After inserting the sutures, your physician will adjust your skin to the desired elevation and use bi-directional cones on the sutures to hold it in place. In this way, the physician reshapes the contours of your face for a more youthful appearance.
Gradual Regeneration Of Collagen
Silhouette InstaLift acts in the subcutaneous tissue and stimulates fibroblast activation and the gradual production of Type I and Type III collagen. Silhouette InstaLift sutures are made from material that is well known and has been used for more than 30 years in a number of biomedical and pharmaceutical applications.
The small bi-directional cones on the Silhouette InstaLift™ suture provide fixation points for your elevated skin. This action is what helps to restore shapeliness to the face.
Is Silhouette InstaLift™ Right For You?
Silhouette InstaLift™ offers an excellent option for women and men who are looking for a natural, younger look but who don’t want to undergo a traditional surgical facelift or deal with the ongoing maintenance required with injectables three to four times a year.
Pre-treatment Consultation
During your consultation, your physician will take a quick medical history, discuss your expectations and tailor the treatment approach to meet your aesthetic needs.
During The Treatment
Before conducting the treatment, your physician will explain where the Silhouette InstaLift™ sutures will be placed using a marking pen.
Before sutures are inserted into the sub-cutaneous tissue a local anesthetic is injected. There is relatively low level of discomfort during and after your treatment. Once the sutures have been inserted, your physician will reposition the skin to obtain the desired lifting effect. The ends of the sutures are then cut off.
The number of sutures applied depends on skin laxity, the condition of your skin and your cosmetic needs.
Following The Treatment
After the insertion of Silhouette InstaLift™ you may experience a minimal acute inflammatory reaction. Symptoms may include minor pain, swelling and bruising.
The lifting effect is immediate. The bi-directional cones of the suture are used to lift the skin and keep it in an elevated position. The collagen generation is gradual. This action, which continues over time, restores the contours of the face and offers long term results.
Your physician will provide you with post-treatment recommendations and an aftercare program to follow to ensure the best possible result.

Is Silhouette InstaLift™ FDA cleared?
The product earned FDA-clearance in April, 2015.
What Are The Components Of Silhouette InstaLift™?
Silhouette InstaLift™ sutures are made from Poly (glycolide/L-lactide) (PLGA), a polymer that is frequently used in medical devices and is well tolerated by the body. The fully resorbable sutures have bi-directional cones. The sutures lift, while the bi-directional cones hold the suture and cheek sub-dermis in an elevated position.
Who Is A Good Candidate For Silhouette InstaLift™ Treatment?
Silhouette InstaLift™ is the ideal minimally-invasive solution for many women and men who are interested in refreshing their appearance without major surgery, injections or lasers. It offers a new and unique technology to lift sagging facial skin. Suitable candidates have good skin quality, with moderate sagging of the skin in the mid-face. The skin should not be too thick/heavy or too thin.
How can Silhouette InstaLift™ Improve Facial Appearance?
Sagging facial skin is one of the major contributors to an aged and tired appearance. Silhouette InstaLift™ is a minimally-invasive procedure that redefines the contours of the mid-face by lifting the deeper layers of the skin for a more youthful look.
Which Areas Can Be Treated?
Cheek and mid-face area: Silhouette InstaLift™ is indicated for use in mid-face suspension surgery to temporarily fixate the cheek sub dermis in an elevated position.
What Must Be Done Before Silhouette InstaLift™ Treatment?
No special preparation is required prior to Silhouette InstaLift™ treatment. However, we recommend that you discuss your expectations and ask your physicain any questions you have before starting treatment. Inform the physician of any treatment you have already received and any medicines you are currently taking.
Is General Anesthesia Required?
No. Your physician will only use a local anesthetic to numb the area before inserting the sutures.
How Is Silhouette InstaLift™ Different From Thread Lifts?
Silhouette InstaLift™ is an entirely new technology and procedure. Rather than just repositioning the skin, Silhouette InstaLift™ focuses on the underlying layers of the skin, because that is what really causes sagging. Another important advance is that the sutures are not permanent. They are absorbed by the body over time. As they are absorbed they stimulate collagen renewal, which helps achieve a natural younger look.
How Is The Silhouette Instalift™ Procedure Performed?
During the in-office procedure, a specially-trained physician will begin by marking the areas of desired lift on the patient. He/she will then gently insert a needle to a depth of 5mm and guides it through the subcutaneous tissue of the mid-face or cheek and extract at each bi-directional exit point. The sutures have bi-directional, resorbable cones that hold them in place. The treatment is generally well tolerated by patients and takes approximately 45 minutes.
What Happens Immediately After Silhouette InstaLift™ Treatment?
After placement, you may experience a minimal acute inflammatory tissue reaction. Symptoms may include minor pain, swelling and bruising. Sometimes, a slight depression or skin irregularity may appear at the entry points. These symptoms should disappear a few days after treatment. Material sensitivity/allergic reactions should be reported to Silhouette Lift Inc. Implantation of foreign materials in tissue can result in histological reactions. Other potential side effects include sensory nerve injury, asymmetry or banding.
If you experience any side effects, you should talk to your physician.
Are There Any Contraindications To Silhouette InstaLift™ Treatment?
Patients with known allergy or foreign-body sensitivities to plastic biomaterial. Situations where internal fixation is otherwise contraindicated (e.g. infection). Patients appearing to have very soft tissue of the face in which the implant may be visible or palpable.
Is Silhouette InstaLift™ Treatment Painful?
