Ivonne: Muchas personas quieren lucir atractivas, pero temen someterse a tratamientos estéticos invasivos. Hoy el Dr. José Montes ofrece alternativas para verte mejor sin recuperación. Saludos doctor y felicidades.
Dr. JRM: Saludos a ustedes, Ivonne. Es un placer estar con todos ustedes.
Ivonne: Bueno, vamos a comenzar con lo más sencillo. Yo creo que todas fallamos en eso, en el cuidado de la piel. ¿Qué alternativas hay?
Dr. JRM: Usted es lo que hace todos los días y lo más importante para verse bien es cuidarse la piel. Empecemos con estos tratamientos. Si vemos tres videos, en el primero ahora lo que van a ver lo que es exfoliación, que es la palabra mágica para tener la piel en buen estado, con buena textura y buen color, tonos que sean básicamente parejos. Aquí vemos lo que se llama el SilkPeel, que es una microdermabrasion médica. Aquí yo soy el modelo; ustedes me ven, esto es un tratamiento que yo me hago regularmente, una vez al mes. Otro de los tratamientos que pueden hacer —como ven aquí— son peelings químicos. Estos son dermabrasiones que son químicas y también vienen de distinta variedad. La gente piensa que son agresivos. No, hay muchos que son suaves, que son anti-inflamatorios y que se lo puede hacer usted, como yo lo hago antes de presentarme aquí en Telemundo. Otro tratamiento también que requiere un poco más de meticulosidad son lo que se llaman las microagujas. Van a ver el próximo video. Ya esto es para cicatrices en la cara, cicatrices de acne. Pero no olviden que uno de los tratamientos que son estrellas y seguirán siendo la estrella son las neurotoxins. ¿Qué son las neurotoxinas o neuromoduladores? Lo que ustedes ven aquí —el Botox— y los rellenos que se utilizan para disimular las bolsas en los párpados inferiores, como ustedes ven aquí en este caballero. Esto fue un tratamiento que se hizo hace tres años y todavía dura el efecto.
Ivonne: ¿Y los rellenos en los labios, doctor?
Dr. JRM: Los rellenos en los labios ahora están en una demanda altísima. Parece que la gente no se dan cuenta que usan mascarilla, pero precisamente, por el uso de mascarilla ellos dicen: si me hincho me cubro con la mascarilla. Vamos a ver un ejemplo de rellenos de labios para que ustedes vean que sí se pueden utilizar rellenos en los labios y que el paciente se vea totalmente natural, solamente realzarlos, no hacerlos grotescos. Eso es bien importante que el injector sepa cómo hacer esto.
Ivonne: ¿Podemos irnos con la papada? Porque la papada es un problema que no importa la edad ni el sexo. ¿Es corregible?
Dr. JRM: Eso es así. Ahora mismo existe Kybella, que es un tratamiento injectable en el área submental, lo que se conoce como la papada. Esto es un problema congénito. Puede ser de gente joven, en la década de los 20 años, 30 o 40 años y también gente que tienen edad media. Aquí vemos un caballero con dos tratamientos y el resultado. No olvidemos que ahora vamos a ver la secuencia de cómo se logran estos tratamientos del principio y al final. Esto es una evolución. Si usted combina los tratamientos —como aquí por ejemplo— usar Botox en toda la cara le da un mejor efecto. Veamos el último ejemplo para que ustedes vean lo que podemos lograr con la combinación de los tratamientos correctos, los productos correctos y las manos expertas. Este paciente fue tratado con diferentes sustancias de rellenos alrededor del párpado superior, inferior, el área temporal, las mejillas y la parte inferior de la cara y se le puso Kybella para reducir el área de la papada. Ustedes ven la primera foto y la última, el resultado.
Ivonne: Entonces, ¿cuál es la combinación más común?
Dr. JRM: La combinación más común es Botox y sustanciás de rellenos, Botox y Fillers. Son cómo decía Frank Sinatra, Love & Marriage, el amor y matrimonio van juntos (no siempre, verdad, pero los Fillers y el Botox siempre van juntos.

Ivonne: Many people want to look attractive, but are scared of undergoing invasive cosmetic treatments. Dr. José Montes offers alternatives for you to look better without recovery. Hello doctor and congratulations.
Dr. JRM: Hello, Ivonne. It is a pleasure to be here today with all of you.
Ivonne: Let’s start with the basics, which I think we are all guilty of, skin care. What are the options?
Dr. JRM: You do it every day. Taking care of your skin is a key for a good appearance. Let’s start with the treatments shown in these three videos. What you are seeing in the first one is exfoliation, which is the magic word for having your skin in good condition, with good texture, color, and tones, basically balanced. Another one is SilkPeel, which is a medical microdermabrasion. You see me in the video, because I do it on a monthly basis. Another of the treatments that people can get done —as you see here— are chemical peels. These are dermabrasions that are chemical and which come in different varieties. People believe that they are aggressive, but they are not; many are mild and anti-inflammatory, and you can do it to yourself, just as I do before I appear in Telemundo. Another treatment that requires a bit more meticulousness is one known as microneedles, which can be seen in the next video. It is done for face scars and acne scars. However, one of the treatments that continues to be a star is neurotoxins. What are neurotoxins or neuromodulators? What you see here —Botox— and fillers are used to hide the bags on the lower lids. You can see here on the treatment done on this gentleman three years ago and notice that the effect still endures.
Ivonne: Doctor, what about fillers for lips?
Dr. JRM: Fillers for lips are currently in high demand. It seems that people do not realize that they are using a mask. Precisely, because of the use of a mask, they say: If I swell, I cover myself with the mask. You may see this example of lip fillers where the patient looks totally natural, only enhancing them, not making them grotesque. It is very important for the injector to know how to do this.
Ivonne: Can we talk about double chin? Because double chin is a problem that many can have, regardless of age or sex. Can it be corrected?
Dr. JRM: Absolutely. Right now, there is Kybella, which is an injectable treatment in the submental area, which is known as double chin. This is a congenital problem. It can happen to young people, in their 20s, 30s or 40s, and also people who are middle aged. See the result on this gentleman after two treatments. We are going to see the sequence of how these treatments are achieved from the beginning until the end. This is an evolution. If you combine the treatments —for example— using Botox on the entire face gives a better effect. Let’s look at the last example where you can appreciate what we can achieve with the combination of the right treatments, right products, and expert hands. This patient was treated with different filler substances around the upper and lower eyelids, the temporal area, cheeks and lower part of the face, and was also treated with Kybella to reduce the double chin. See the difference between the first photo and the last.
Ivonne: What is the most common combination?
Dr. JRM: The most common combination is Botox and Fillers. Just like Frank Sinatra said, Love & Marriage, love and marriage go together (not always), but the Fillers and Botox always go together.
