Ivonne: ¡Felicidades!
Dr. JRM: ¡Felicidades también a ti y a todos ustedes!
Ivonne: Bueno, hay quien le teme al bisturí y además estamos en Navidades. La gente quiere como que cosas rapiditas para eventos que le surgen de actividades, fiestas.
Dr. JRM: Eso es así. Es Navidad y la gente tiene muchas fiestas, actividades. Se quieren ver bien y no pueden invertir tiempo en esto —y no puede haber tiempo de recuperación. Así que, ¿cuáles son estas cosas? Vamos a empezar con lo más básico: la piel. Vamos a ver un vídeo de un tratamiento que es fundamental para que usted se vea bien en poco tiempo. Esto se llama el SilkPeel; es una exfoliación médica donde se remueven todas las células que están ya viejas en la piel, todas las imperfecciones y después de eso se sella la piel con soluciones para darle a la piel todo es brillo que se necesita. Aquí en este otro tratamiento están viendo cómo se aplican los peelings químicos. Ivonne: Well, many (male and female) want to look radiant this Christmas and today Oculoplastic Surgeon José Raúl Montes gives us some recommendations. Welcome!
Dr. JRM: Good morning Ivonne.
Ivonne: Happy holidays!
Dr. JRM: Happy holidays to you also and to all of our viewers!
Ivonne: There are those who fear the scalpel and, because it is Christmastime, people want quick treatments before upcoming events, activities, and parties.
Dr. JRM: That is correct. It is Christmastime and people have many parties and activities. They want to look good and but cannot devote time to do it —and there cannot be any recovery time. So, what are these things? Let’s start with the basics: the skin. We will see a video of a treatment that is essential for a person to look good in a short period of time. This is called SilkPeel; it is a medical exfoliation where all old skin cells are removed, all the imperfections, and after that the skin is sealed with solutions to give the skin everything it needs to shine. This is another treatment where you can see how chemical peels are applied. This is a chemical peel that can be done —look carefully— not only on the face, neck, décolletage, hands, but all parts of the body.
Ivonne: The effect is instantaneous.
Dr. JRM: The effect is instantaneous. Here you see a patient that you know very well, myself, getting a SilkPeel for this intervention (I did that yesterday). Because during Christmastime the hands are important, we are shaking hands with everyone, we are giving gifts, we want our hands to look good, and take a look at the before and after photos, after getting fillers.
